Things To Do in Lincoln

Here’s a few of some of the most interesting things to do in Lincoln.

-

Lincoln Cathedral (35 minute drive)

Keep an eye out for the imp.

Lincoln Cathedral is one of the most impressive Gothic buildings ever built, and held the record for tallest building in the world for 238 years until the spire collapsed in 1548. See if you can spot the mischievous Lincoln Imp perched on one of the stone pillars.

-

Doddington Hall (40 minute drive)

Take a tour round the estate.

Doddington Hall, Elizabethan on the outside but largely decorated inside in a distinctly Georgian style, is a staple of the Lincoln countryside. You can explore both the hall and the grounds, as well as the farm shop and the Long Gallery. It’s one of the best things to do in Lincoln.

-

International Bomber Command Centre (42 minute drive)

Experience history.

The International Bomber Command Centre (IBCC) was built as a memorial to commemorate the sacrifice and bravery of those who served and supported the Bomber Command during WWII, as well as acknowledging the significant contribution Lincolnshire had to the outcome of the war. You can see the names of those who lost their lives on the Wall of Names.
