Golf day
Mandy the barmaid made my afternoon, so much fun, nice to have someone with a bit of character working for a change
Strongly recommend, I will be going back!
I stayed here for my first sola spa night and I really have not a bad word to say. Lovely room, tasty food, friendly staff, quick service and beautiful spa area/treatments
Great hotel, great dining experience which stuff that go above and beyond to ensure customers needs are met.
My third stay at this hotel which I use for my carer brake. Stuff for welcoming friendly and helpful. Spaces and comfortable I was using the accessible room and it had all the time needed. The main reason I choose this hotel is Rick Ross of the dining I have intolerances and allergies and the chef and their team are always more than accommodating helping me eat out where I can't normally do so. Pre-booked food that is amended to suit my allergies and intolerances attention to detail on the day and double checking everything with maybe for it served which makes me feel really safe. Shout out to Tanya and Matthew will both have made by stay restful and they both did it with a smile and enthusiasm. The stuff are a credit to the hotel.
An excellent Hotel to spend a few days chilling out and an Anniversary
Had a great time at the Hotel. The staff were extremely helpful. We had a charming waitress in the evenings called Nikita and she suggested to us to visit Normanby Hall Country Park which was nearby. Well worth the visit. And a great suggestion on her part.
Spa brilliant, hotel average
We enjoyed an overnight stay with a spa treatment and an evening meal including a glass of Prosecco. Check-in was easy and we were allowed to arrive half an hour early, which was great. The room was basic but functional, with a huge bed and a decent-sized TV. The only downside was the single pillow on each bed. I found a spare but it meant only one of us could have two and they were incredibly soft, leaving us feeling like we didn’t even have a pillow. We dropped our bags off and headed downstairs for lunch and a drink at the bar. The food was lovely but my husband ordered a pint of Coors. He said it was warm so I took it back and the bar staff said it would probably be the same. Would I like a different lager? I agreed to switch to a Madri. When I returned, he said it was slightly cooler but not the ice-cold pint he wanted on a warm day. We then visited the spa, which was fantastic. The staff were lovely and we had a relaxing treatment. We spent half an hour in the relaxation room and then went for a swim in the lovely pool. We headed back to the hotel and asked the receptionist if we needed to book the evening meal in the restaurant. She said it would be advisable but only had 20:15 available. This was fine for us as we eat late but it would have been better to have been told this on arrival. We returned to our room for a couple of hours and then went downstairs for dinner. When we were seated, I asked about the Prosecco we had included and was told they would get it. A different member of staff then came out wanting to see my confirmation as they weren’t aware of the offer but then brought the drinks over anyway. The meal was average. We had £35 each to spend so we managed to get a pudding, which was delicious. Overall, the stay was okay but the spa made it special. I would suggest the hotel staff provide a bit more explanation on arrival. We were expected to bring our key card envelope down to the meal so they knew our dinner was included. The reception did get us a new one but when we returned to our room, we found our original hadn’t been stamped.
A wonderful find
A gem of a place everything you could want including air con Good food great service especially from our waitress Tanya and fabulous spa What more could you need?
Very enjoyable grip stay at Forest Pines
Visited Forest Pines in July 2026 with a group of 20 ladies. Really enjoyed the golf courses, pool facilities and catering and found staff were very friendly. There were some delays for our meals but the hotel was very busy with a prom and wedding during our stay. Communication of wine preorders placed with reception was poor and we had some issues with our security deposits. I upgraded my room (at a cost) before my stay so that I could have a fridge in my room (stayed during a heatwave) - standard fridge in room was not cold at all but I was provided with another fridge when I spoke to reception. Others in my group were upgraded when they asked when checking in (at no cost).

Unforgettable experience at Forest Pine Hotel
I brought a group of 51 women on trip. Ellie from Events was exceptional in the way she handles my booking. From the early days of negotiation and pricing to the final stages of my deal, Ellie's customer service skills were outstanding. She was flexible ,personable and solution focused. Ellie was intentional and diligent. She made sure everything was set up, introduce me to the team working with me throughout the weekend. Mathew and Charlotte led the team throughout the weekend and it amazing. I will recommend Forest Pine always. A clean environment with so.much space. All staff were friendly and always ready to help.

Great gluten free pie!
We had a lovely meal in the lounge, Anna was our server and she was fab, super friendly and handled all our allergy requirements fabulously.
Friendly, helpful staff.
The thing that has prompted me to leave a review is to say how friendly and helpful the staff were throughout our stay. The accommodation was lovely, we had a suite, and the menu had an excellent range of food choices and was all delicious. We came for the golf and that was really good too.

Recently stayed at the Hotel, the room was lovely with everything needed, nice and clean. We had a spa treatment and restaurant booking in with our package and neither disappointed us, we left the spa feeling very relaxed (floating on a cloud), and our evening meal was superb, Tanya our waitress was amazing, she made sure we were well looked after. Then in the morning we had a lovely breakfast before departing, we left feeling relaxed, energised, and stress free, Thank you.
