Great experience - thanks Amber
Great meal at the restaurant after being looked after by Amber - really good food. Would recommend.
Dinner service
Great dinner service from Amber M. Thank you.
Excellent business stay at the Forest Pines
I stayed 2 weeks at the Forest Pines for a business trip. I really enjoyed the amazing experience at the property, including the comfortable room, the spa and swimming pool, the golf course. I especially would like to thank Yasemin for her friendly and professional service at the dining room.
Lovely time
A very good experience with Yasemin, who was very friendly and attentive to our needs. Thank you for this lovely time.
Nice service and waiter
Good service, waiter as needed and attentive.
Charming hotel in Scunthorpe
A wonderful expérience here at forest pines, even more than the great facilities ( the pool, the bar, the golf and rooms) what I really appreciated was the enthusiasm of our waitress Yasemin. So cheerful and accommodating of our demands. Will definitely come back to this place for a nice change of scenery after a long day.
Hotel and staff excellent poor menu
When you arrive you are warmly welcomed by helpful friendly reception staff. The rooms are spotless the housekeeping team do a fantastic job anything you need just ask. I am told a new menu is on its way the current one is boring avoid the Fish finger Ciabatta the menu states it is Cod I do not think so I have never seen grey Cod. Breakfast is slow on weekends mid week fine no black pudding we found the bacon and sausage undercooked. Plates a little on the small side food should not be up to the edge of the breakfast plate this could be a form of portion control. Tea and Coffee average the Nespresso in our room was not very good made one cup threw it down the sink. The front of house staff do go that extra mile three stood out going even beyond the mile, Silvia, Chloe and Rosario. Nice family 18 meter pool and a nice gym for guest use as well as members. Again staffed by excellent staff. The down side is the menu and delivery of the menu not 4 star quality by any stretch of the imagination.
Amazing Staff
My husband and I have stayed on several occaisions recently at Forest Pines and we have been looked after like royalty. On arrival Coral and Andrea treated us like long lost friends and made our visits such an enjoyment, which was very welcome as we were dealing with a family bereavement. The rooms were excellent, with everything you could possibly need. We ate in the restaurant on every night that we stayed and Alex was another welcome face , with lots of knowledge and a friendly chat. The breakfasts were one of the best. I cannot thank the staff enough for making our stay enjoyable in difficult circumstances and we hope to visit again in happier times. Thank you all. John and Sally
Perfect Venue
My 2nd visit to Forest Pines for International Women’s Day, excellent Venue. Staff are amazing , I’m a recent amputee, very independent, my room was perfect, bed super comfy . Breakfast was great, lots of choices. Silvia on reception was helpful and a beautiful smile.
Great stay!
Great stay at the Forest Pines, with exceptionally welcoming reception staff including Coral. Thank you!
great service
Grace is a great member of staff at the gym. She is always friendly, helpful, and approachable with members. She works hard to keep everything running smoothly and creates a welcoming atmosphere for everyone in the club.
Nicki Logan in Leisure 5 star review
The spa and gym facilities are excellent. I booked personal training sessions with Nicki Duncan who works in leisure. She was outstanding . I would highly recommend her. 5 star review.
Quality course and staff
Golf course is in fantastic condition for the time of the year, and the starter kev is a great guy 😁
Spa Treatment Heaven
This is a review of the spa treatments……Amazing and the head, neck and shoulder massage by Katie was 10/10. So relaxing
Lovely relaxing stay
We have just spent 2 nights at Forest Pines and have enjoyed it from start to finish. We stayed in the King Suite, No. 43 The Thornbury and it was gorgeous. The decor was lovely, the bed comfortable as were the pillows. The bathroom huge with an immense bath with room for 2 and a lovely large shower. There was a his and hers sink with large mirrors and good lighting. A wardrobe with iron and ironing board a safe at the bottom and robes if you fancied. The sofa was comfy and you can sit there watching a decent sized tv enjoying the complimentary drinks and snacks. 2 bottles of Pepsi, 2 bottles of coors beer, 2 small bottles of wine and 2 bottles of water, also some pretzels. These are replenished daily, just put the door sign on the handle outside for room cleaning. House keeping kept the room spotlessly clean, thank you ladies, especially Jen. We had a meal in the restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the food, its all cooked fresh. Special mention to our waitress Amber M, you were so polite and helpful 😊. The following day we had breakfast and there was plenty of food on offer from bacon, eggs, hash brown and beans to toast, cereals, pastries and granola. Plenty of juices and coffee and tea. You can help yourself as many times as you like, you won't leave hungry . We had a massage booked in the Spa. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and we were given robes and shown to the relaxation room to await our therapist. I can highly recommend a massage here, I had the couture touch massage and Elemis facial. Another special mention to my therapist Yvie, she was an absolute star and was so attentive and gave great advice 🥰. You also have access to the pool if you wish to use it. All in all a top notch stay and from reception to housekeeping to waitress and waiters everyone we interacted with was happy, friendly and helpful.
Help solved
this lad called ollie jarvis i think i can’t remember to be sure but he really did help me with my problems he fixed it straight away top man needs a raise
Single mum rest away
Solo greeting at reception lovely. Room and cleaners excellent! Bar man Rose a real gem and helped settle me during evening dinner and drinks. Breakfast tracy and chris (i think?) was made welcoming wjen helping me decide where to walk. The grounds were beautiful, even when golfers were everywhere on the second day - chatty and welcoming. I added spa treatments by Evie and these were great! More attention from reception staff on passing would have been nice considering I was on my own. Didnt deter from the fact that I had a fabulous stay. Stand out meals were the light lunch falaffel dish - wow! And the spinach and mushroom pizza. I left feeling very relaxed and will definitely be back. Carers / mums are allowed time away on their own ocassionally too, not just groups pf girls and golfers, and I'm glad I did it here!
Thank you team forest pines!
Just wanted to thank the hotel and pines bar staff for keeping the pines bar open for us members during the current refurbishment, as a long term member and I speak on behalf of a few of us! It’s very much appreciated to still have use of the bar after a round! Well done Bex, Ollie, Amy & Aaron for your hard work and for always looking after us golfers!
Taxis
Everything great apart from you struggle to get a taxi to get anywhere else near by for a night out. Uber don’t serve the hotel and local taxis charge you for them to travel from Scunthorpe to pick you up to take you your destination. It cost us £20 one way to brigg which is ten minutes down the road
Great
Coral was very welcoming. Amazing presentation and first impression to the hotel. would definitely come back for leisure.
