We held our wedding here in May 2026. The entire event was fantastic and everything ran smoothly, mainly down to their fantastic staff and particularly Coleen who was our wedding coordinator. Coleen was brilliant in answering all weird and wonderful questions thrown her way to ensure everything came together perfectly. we held our ceremony in the conservatory and our evening reception in the Tennyson suite, both of which were excellent. The food was fantastic with multiple guests commenting how good it was (particularly the pineapple and chilli cheesecake!) everyone was satisfied and well catered to with some guests having severe dietary requirements. The suite itself was immaculate and a brilliant size to help recover after the big day. I would wholeheartedly recommend forest pines for anyone considering it as a wedding venue and cannot thank Coleen and the team enough for such a wonderful and memorable experience.

We had our wedding at forest pines May 2026 , with Coleen as our planner ! What an amazing day , the venue was great , the staff were fantastic very friendly and helpful. Coleen did a great job of supporting us along the wedding planning journey. Would have done it all over again with the team they were fab ! Bridal suite was lovely with a fab bathroom ! And we were able to grab breakfast to bring back to our room which was also super !

We had a fantastic stay at Forest Pines Hotel and Spa. The facilities and accommodation were very good and the staff were helpful and attentive including Gracie in the well run and efficient restaurant. The meals in the restaurant were of a good standard and the surroundings including the bar area was spacious and appealing. The Spa facilities were clean and well maintained as were the gardens and surrounding grounds. Just ideal for a weary traveller, will revisit again in the near future.

Hi went for a relaxing break, room comfy with enough space, enjoyed the pool facilities. Used the hotel restaurant in the evening, food was good and waitress Gracie G was very professional. Excellent breakfast the following morning before setting off home

Can't fault my room, lovely, spacious clean. Staff put more tea, milks in room when asked. Meals great, tasty, good portions, nice presentation. Enjoyed the Spa, steam room, pool. Nice having a large towel at Spa and being able to leave there for cleaning afterwards. Sports Bar modern but not for me . Like the decor and decking though. Always love the course but I feel it's not quite as good these days. Some tees worm out in places, bunkers with grass over hanging on the sides. Just lost a bit of the tideness, sharp appearance. Staff all polite, friendly everywhere. I'll come back though again .

We stayed two nights and played 3 rounds of golf. The golf course was in excellent condition and the food and service in the hotel was really good. John, the starter managed the three nine hole courses perfectly, keeping up pace of play and giving useful information on what to expect. Alex looked after us both nights in the restaurant with impeccable service. She was friendly and polite and is definitely an asset to the hotel team. We were very impressed and would stay and play golf again in the future. Would really to other golfers.

We were a group of 10 and had very nice cake, coffee, tea, sandwiches and ice-cream at Forest Pines. The waitresses Kayleigh and Anna were very efficient, helpful and friendly.

Came here for a lads golf holiday. The restaurant was lovely. We were served by Nikita who was lovely and chatty. She genuinely seemed interested in how we were and what we did with our day. Food was prompt and throughout there were checks to see if we needed anything.

As a Breakaway member, we chose this hotel as we had not been to this part of England and wanted to explore York as well. Considering we had a Deluxe room, I felt that it was missing a few extras that you might expect. It was tight on the toiletries, with only handwash/bodywash available. There was no body lotion at all. There was no fridge, which wasn’t a big loss, but would’ve been nice to keep our drinks cool. We’ve stayed at many QHotels, and I’m sure that these were available in other locations for the same type of room. The room was for myself and my husband, but the towels were only set up for one person. This was rectified after speaking with reception. We had to wait around an hour to get our meal on the first night, but think this was down to a large function at the same time. This being said, the hotel had a lovely warm feel to it. The restaurant felt like you were in a gorgeous living room. The food was lovely, (usually is elsewhere) especially the Red Pepper Spaghetti Bolognese (had this twice), and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. All in all, we had a very pleasant stay, thank you.

I went with a friend to relax, and that's exactly what we had. All the staff are extremely helpful and cheerful, especially Sylvia on reception. My friend and I had a massage with Amber and Maygan, they where very professional and as I fell asleep during the massage they were obviously very good. The surroundings of the hotel are beautiful, so nice to sit in the bar for lunch enjoying the views. After our treatment we relaxed on the loungers around the pool and enjoyed the jacuzzi. we ended the evening with a meal in their restaurant, again no complaints, the food was well presented very tasty and lots of choice. we ended our stay with a buffet breakfast, again lots of choice (no scrambled eggs though 😞). I would recommend this for anyone who needs a pamper night. Fabulous to go with friend or in a group with the guys playing golf whilst their partners enjoy the relaxation that forest pines offer. Definitely good value for money (we upgraded our room, which was spacious 2 double beds and very clean) we will most definitely return.
